From the report: "Georgia’s school districts and state-commission charter schools received an infusion of nearly $6 billion in federal pandemic relief funds to enable them to continue serving students safely during the pandemic and address lost learning time and rising student mental health needs. Districts and state charter schools, also known as local education agencies or LEAs, must spend the funds by September 2024. They have considerable flexibility to use them to best meet the unique needs of their students."
